Back in the city!

Hey guys.

What to say? Visit home went about expected - good, slightly awkward. Of course. Cabaret was so good. Except for the dancing Hitler-themed dreams it inspired later that night. This would be about the point I bombard you with pictures, but they're all still on the camera.

11 days until we officially move in together - and it just so happens that Canada Day is one of my favourite (if not the favourite) holidays. I always celebrate it by getting, uh, otherwise altered and going downtown for the fireworks show. I can't wait to spend our first day as a live-in couple and our first Canada Day together. Woop!

Speaking of spending time together - Keith and I are about due for a date night. Our last one was just after Belleville! I'm thinking either dinner and a movie, or grab a quick bite and go to a Comedy Club for some pitchers and a few laughs. Which one would you choose? I wanna know!

Comedy Club, Comedy Club!

I am glad the visit home went well.

Nice to have you back.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 4th of July (Independence Day) in the US. I am assuming it is the similar holiday in Canada. So - I am so with you! :)

I'm a dinner & movie fan myself!

Let us know what you chose.

I love your countdown thingee on the side of your blog!

New Zealand's national holiday - Waitangi Day - is almost always fraught with controversy :(

Either or...I like both ideas and would enjoy them!

Dancing Hilter-themed dreams huh? LOL!

Yay on the 11 days to move in. :D I hope it all goes smoothly.

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to answer the house breaking comment you left on my blog a few days ago. I thought I would answer it now just because I posted another new post tonight and I wanted to make sure you got the answer. The key to house breaking any pup is the crate. Any time you open that crate door, you grab the dog and run it out to its elimination spot. Never let it out without taking it to its spot to eliminate right off. Also keep in mind pups usually need to do #2 about 30 min after eating. Another key is to feed them 2-3 times a day on a schedule. Don't allow them to eat or drink whenever they want. Don't limit water as much as food, but still try to limit it, especially before bed time. We feed and water Sadie 4 hours before bed so everything has plenty of time to make its way through before she needs to hunker down for the night. She doesn't quite make it through a full night yet, but she is also only 7 weeks old. We let her out at night when she quietly whimpers, not when she yowls, as we do not want to encourage yowling for any reason.

I've read about 3-4 different books about house breaking and obedience training pups, so I feel like I know enough about it to keep myself sane during these firt months. :) Let me know if you want tips or book suggestions.
