I finally did it! All throughout our roommate/friendmanship, she would occasionally refer to something being "that's so gay" .... I finally spoke up about how I don't like that expression today :) Gooooooo me!

Me: mmm, considering cars don't have a sexuality, I think 'being gay" would be hard to do
Exroommate: lol u know what i meant
Me: and i don't like when you use it in that context
Exroommate: sorry

Exroommate: guess ur just different form me and my friends than...
Me: *shrug* i was taught that it wasn't acceptable to use the term gay in a derogatory way
